On Wenesday 11th November 2009, we held a reception in the House of Lords, sponsored by our patron Lord Griffiths, to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Kathie Martin from Orbit Group's care and repair service, spoke about how the life of Janice, one of the Trust's beneficiaries, has been significantly improved with our help. The latest Annual General Meeting was held on Friday 4th December 2009 at 3, Whitehall Court, London.
At the meeting, the accounts to 30th September 2009 were approved, showing:
Income amounting to £70,358 (2008 - £48,367)
Grants to organisations and individuals totalling £36,929 (£54,837)
Fund balances of £292,082 (£272,150)
Also, Fox Evans were re-appointed as Auditors and Wright Hassall as Solicitors.
We have agreed to enter into a service agreement with Warwick District Council for the marketing and management of our rented community alarms in the Midlands. Also, we are discussing a new management and service agreement with Orbit Group Limited for the management of the Edmund Sawyer Almshouses in Kettering, for which we act as corporate trustee, together with the balance of our community alarms.
We are supporting Care & Repair England with a grant of £10,000 spread over two years, initially to help their campaign to raise awareness of the difficulties faced by disabled people seeking to access grants for home adaptations.

Joseph Clarke has been appointed as the trust secretary, replacing Howard Ward. Joe is treasurer of Age Concern Coventry and a financial consultant to Age Concern Warwickshire. The trustees wish to record their appreciation of Howard's work over the last five years.
The Trust's founder chairman, Ron Crewes, stepped down from the Board on 9 April 2010 and we are pleased that he has accepted our invitation to become an Honorary Life Member in recognition of his work for over 20 years.
