Looking to the future, the Trust is seeking to work with Age Concern Warwickshire (ACW) on piloting the emerging technologies for older people to enable them to live an independent life in their own homes. This partnership may, in the longer term, lead to a closer relationship but, for now, we are looking to continue working with a wide range of bodies that share our goals.
We have agreed to enter into a service agreement with Warwick District Council for the marketing and management of our rented community alarms in the Midlands. Also, we are discussing a new management and service agreement with Orbit Group Limited for the management of the Edmund Sawyer Almshouses in Kettering, for which we act as corporate trustee, together with the balance of our community alarms.
The trust secretary, Howard Ward, has announced that he will step down at the next trustees' meeting on Friday 9 April 2010. The trustees wish to record their appreciation of his work over the last five years.
